Dark Chocolate Malt is a heavily roasted specialty brewing grain, typically ranging from 900–1400 EBC, designed to impart rich cocoa, coffee, and espresso flavors to dark beers like Porters, Stouts, and Imperial Stouts. Unlike black malts, it is roasted to minimize astringency, offering a smoother, deeper flavour profile.
